Summary of development: TedQL is an interviewer administered questionnaire to children age 3 to 8. Each item has four response options per concept. It uses two teddy bears to illustrate a concept.  One teddy bear would represent the positive side (i.e. on either the big circle or the end point on the linear scale) of the statement (e.g. `Iggy/Ziggy is good at running’). The other would represent the negative side of the statement (e.g. `Iggy/Ziggy is not good at running’). The children were asked to point to which bear they were most like. The children were then probed for whether they were really like this or just a little bit like this.  A later study (Clemens 2007) tested different response formats for the same questions.
